Twelve hectares (about 30 acres) classed AOC Languedoc Pic St. Loup :
To the original forty year old vines have been added new plants in selection massale, at high density (8-12 thousand plants per hectare). The vineyards are juxtaposed with olive groves and separated by carefully conserved natural hedges. Descending in terraces from the limestone plateau, they are enclosed by ancient dry stone walls. Twenty-two parcels of land, ranging from 0.5 to 2 acres, spread over 5 distinct areas, results in significant differences in the timing of the maturation of the grapes. |
